HONGTAI 1993-2023

2023 is the 30th year of the birth of Hongtai Copper Tube. On the long road of struggle, we have completed various experiences from growth to transformation. Thirty years of ingenuity has made us stronger over time.

Today is the 100th day of the countdown to the 30th anniversary of Hongtai. Let us stand at this end of the new era, look back towards the starting point of the long river of history, count the solid footprints of Hongtai people on the bottom of the river, and look back at history to illuminate the future.

In March 1993, Hongtai Copper Company was established, and its first trial production was successful in December of the same year. Annual production capacity of 2,000 tons of copper tubes.

In 1994, Hongtai Group reformed its joint-stock cooperative system, reorganized its assets, and established a modern joint-stock enterprise system. This was an epoch-making reform in the history of Hongtai.

Since 1997, due to the development of local upstream enterprises, the supply of supporting copper tubes from Hongtai Copper Company has been reduced. Hongtai shifted its sales channels and successively developed markets in the province, Tianjin, and the three eastern provinces. Hongtai Copper Tubes began to enter the national market.

In the spring of 1998, Hongtai began product upgrades and developed a fluorine-free copper tube project. It was the first in the domestic industry to introduce and develop the upward casting production process. The successful development of the new production process has more than doubled the sales volume of Hongtai copper tubes.

On October 1, 1999, the second phase of the fluorine-free copper tube project was completed and put into production. Hongtai's annual production capacity was increased to 4,000 tons. It has gone through six years of ordinary copper tube companies in one year. This marks that the modern business philosophy and awareness of "Hongtai people" have been raised to a new level.

In 2002, Hongtai built a 2,000-square-meter copper pancake coil production workshop, and Hongtai copper pancake coil copper tubes were launched.

In 2006, the company began to introduce the country's most advanced continuous casting and rolling production technology, and reduced consumption by about 10% based on the upward casting method.

On May 1, 2011, Hongtai's internal magazine "Hongtai Newspaper" was officially launched. As the crystallization of Hongtai culture, "Hongtai Newspaper" has been published continuously since its inception.

In 2012, the ERP enterprise resource planning system was implemented to realize the management informatization of production, sales and financial procurement.

In early 2014, the third continuous casting and rolling fully automatic production line was put into operation, with an annual production capacity of 65,000 tons, completing technological production innovation.

In 2015, Hongtai created a mobile product QR code anti-counterfeiting query system for the first time in the copper pipe industry, which effectively curbed the proliferation of counterfeit products.

In 2018, a standardized copper pipe distribution network covering the whole country was fully established and improved. Hongtai copper pipe users across the country can purchase nearby conveniently and timely.

In January 2019, Hongtai took the lead in launching a patented product, the socket-type copper straight pipe, which greatly improves construction efficiency, saves time, labor and materials, and has been very popular once it was launched on the market.

In March 2019, Qiantai Meipin, a high-end engineering copper pipe brand, was officially launched on the market.

On March 26, 2023, Hongtai's new 3# production workshop started smoothly. The main body was completed in August and is expected to be put into trial operation in December. After the completion of the new production line, it is estimated that the output will be increased by 35,000 tons and the output value will be increased by 2.3 billion yuan, which means that Hongtai Copper Tube's goal of annual production capacity of 100,000 tons is just around the corner.
